| With a digital camera all the pictures you make are stored digitally, which means you can instantly view a picture after you have taken it and take as many pictures as you like, without having to buy new films all the time. It is easy to download the pictures from your camera to your computer, either at home or at the shop and edit them before printing. Once they are on your computer, you can easily share your pics with the rest of the world by putting them on-line, or e-mailing them to friends. |

The EOS 20Da is the first Canon digital SLR that has been tailored to the requirements of the Astro-photographer while delivering the speed, precision and flexibility synonymous with the EOS 20D Quality The EOS 20Da is no ordinary camera; maintaining the key features from the EOS 20D, the EOS 20Da has been tailored to the specific requirements of the Astro-photographer.

diffuse nebulae is popular among Astro-photographers for its distinct reddish colour caused by the excitation of hydrogen. However, with the infrared (IR) blocking filter in front of the imaging sensor on standard digital SLR's, the reddish colour is eliminated. The 20Da IR blocking filter has been modified to allow more IR light through to the sensor, recording the reddish colour.
Technology The EOS 20Da delivers outstanding images with 8.2 Megapixel resolution. The DIGIC II architecture drives high speed continuous shooting with a large maximum burst and quick start-up times. The 20Da has a new feature enabling easier manual focusing with a live, magnified image on the LCD monitor.
Full control An extreme high (3200 ISO) setting extends the camera's wide 100-1600 ISO speed range. Both sRGB and Adobe RGB colour spaces are supported.
Software Canon supplies the user with a full suite of Canon software solutions including Digital Photo Professional, EOS Capture, EOS Viewer Utility and PhotoStitch. Also, included is Adobe Photoshop Elements v2.
EOS Capture EOS Capture is a remote capture and control application for when the camera is tethered to a computer. It provides automated control of the shutter release, camera controls and downloading of images to the computer. The EOS 20Da is also supplied with the AC adapter kit ACK-E2 as standard to allow the camera to be operated for long periods on AC power.
Connectivity The EOS 20D's USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection enables fast download of images to the computer. PictBridge compliant, the camera supports direct printing to any compatible photo printer. It takes both CF and CF-II cards, including cards of over 2GB capacity.
Online sharing Free membership is included to Canon's online CANON iMAGE GATEWAY*, with 100 MB of free storage space for online album storing and sharing. Users can upload images to the site and direct clients, friends and family to secure online 'albums'.

Display
|
|
The display technology. Flat screen technologies like Liquid Cristal Display (LCD) and Thin Film Transistor (TFT) active matrix technology are the trend.
In TV technologies one can notice FST (Flat Screen Tube) technology, and ARASC (Anti Reflexion, Anti Static Coating) or AGARAS (Anti-Glare ARASC) or simply AGC (anti-glare coating). The old tv and screen technology CRT means Cathodic Ray Tube. MLA = Micro Lens Array. p-Si=Polycrystalline Silicon. a-Si=Amorphous Silicon.
