CCD (Charged Coupled Device): A silicone chip comprised of millions of tiny, square light-gathering diodes called Picture Elements, or pixels, laid out in a checkerboard pattern. Super CCD SR (Sensitivity and Range): Uses a combination of small and large octagonal-shaped pixels to further enhance color accuracy, while improving detail in the areas of shadows and highlights, much like traditional film
